Reckless Driving Attorney in Tucson, Arizona
A.R.S. 28-693. Reckless Driving
A. A person who drives a vehicle in reckless disregard for the safety of persons or property is guilty of reckless driving.
Reckless Driving is a criminal traffic charge. You can actually demand a jury trial for this charge and you may want to do so, depending on the specific facts of the case. These cases are definitely winnable as the statute is a bit vague and the State has to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
If the facts are very bad in your case, then you would typically try to reduce the charge to a non-criminal charge or charges. Try to get the criminal charge dismissed through trial or negotiation.
I have lectured at seminars on how to deal with these charges in Arizona. I can give you an excellent analysis of how to deal with these cases.
